Hi, I’m Alex Ryan. I live down here in Hove. We’ve been working with Mortgage Medics for just over a decade, I think it was 2013 we first used them – when we bought our first house, and we work directly with Sam.

We first got in touch with Mortgage Medics because we were planning on getting on the property ladder for the first time. My partner and I had been together long enough to invest in a house, we’d rented together long enough to make that move. Mortgages and property was not something we knew anything about, so we needed someone on our side.

We had attempted to look into mortgages ourselves and did the research ourselves, but ultimately, we felt that an adviser, someone to kind of hold our hand through the whole process would be a really good idea. Sam at Mortgage Medics had a great local reputation, made us feel confident and comfortable during the initial consultation process and they were very affordable so it was a bit of a no-brainer to go with Mortgage Medics.

Mortgage Medics have helped us with a variety of things over the last 10 or 11 years. Obviously, the initial mortgage, we’ve moved house since then as well so, gaining a new mortgage, remortgaging, they’ve helped us get equity out of this house in order to do a construction project. Along the way they gave various advice on insurances and those kind of things that all need to be thought about when investing in a property. So, they’ve helped us in a number of areas outside just a traditional mortgage.

Working with Mortgage Medics gives us confidence that we’re being looked after. We’ve got experts in the field keeping us up to date with the goings on in that industry, it’s not something that we’re a part of directly so, it’s like a bit of a safety net for us. We’ve always got someone we can talk to, whether it’s about our ongoing mortgage, releasing equity, or plans for the future.

The three words that jump to mind when I think about Mortgage Medics, are friendly, supportive, and probably most importantly, proactive.

I love that they’re local. Their office is very close to our home. They somehow make the calls interesting; we always have a bit of a laugh on the call and they’re great at dumbing things down for myself and my partner, making sure we understand everything that they’re talking about, not blinding us with jargon and industry lingo. They give us the confidence that we understand everything, that they understand everything, and that they’re always going to come to us with opportunities.

They make the calls fun and really interesting. As I said, from my other perspective of knowing these people, it seems like a great place to work, I think they’ve built a fantastic culture of driven and happy employees. I think it’s great to work with a local business that’s driving for that kind of culture and putting people first in their business.

I definitely recommend Mortgage Medics to other people, and I have. I’ve introduced friends and family to them before. It’s that feeling of security and having an expert on your side. You can go it alone with insurances and do the research yourself but having an expert in your corner is always going to be money well spent. We’ve always felt that it’s a very affordable safety net and hand-holding operation to invest in. So, well worth it for the feeling of security throughout.
